Well, did a post two times and it wouldn't download, did it a third time and there they all were! So read them all, each one is kinda different...hee hee hee! Same picture on all.....sorry!
Here is a pic of a new ATC I finished last night. Didn't have time to work on any today. I just love adding wings to people. It's so much fun. Found a new place to get away for the weekend with scrapper friends....take a look at it. www.cropicalparadise.com And it's not that far from here, Paducah, KY. Looks like a nice place to go! Maybe a trip.........
Finished this ATC last night....I just love wings on people; it's fascinating! Haven't done anything creative today, unless you consider getting my hair colored and cut is creative...it could be! I did run across a place on the web that's located in Paducah, KY and offers weekend getaways for scrapping. Check it out at www.cropicalparadise.com and see what you think. I'm going to check with a few friends and see if they want to make a trip there sometime this fall or winter. It looks pretty nice and has a hot tub to boot, which would really be nice when it gets cooler.
Was up finishing this ATC up last night. I think it turned out beautiful....I love putting wings on people. Didn't get anything creative done today....haircut and color, shopping and housework. I did run across a really neat place to have a wonderful weekend away. Check out this website! http://www.cropicalparadise.com/ And it's not far from us! Think I'll see if some friends are interested in making it a weekend this fall or winter....looks like fun. And a hot tub to boot!

Okay, I finally got time to make some ATC's again. Boy how I've missed it. The one below is an image from Remininse Magazine I found at work as are two of the other images I used below. I'm sorry it's blurry, it is a little thick to scan. I always love using men and having sayings that have to do with their acting like children....because we all know they do from time to time, right?
This image of two boys reminded me of childhood friends and how special they are. I love to distress, as you can see here. It lent itself quite well for that. And can you read the little piece of paper I added at the top I found...the presence of his friend consoled him!

What a wonderful image this is....and you know good girls always get respect!

I just love Olivia...what a sweet image. These are all available for trade in case you're interested. Send me an email.

I have to share just one more....the color on this one is absolutely breathtaking!
And also wanted to share that we had a great time the other night at Leesa's house scrapping. Her scrapbook room is to die for, of course it does help to have owned a shop at one time. Great storage racks! And my DH thought I had alot of supplies! Thanks Leesa for prividing the home and pizza and thanks Deb, Ceneetra and Shirla for such a fun time! Looking forward to next month's!
This one is just amazing....have I said that before? Sorry, can't help myself!

Another beautiful specimen....wish I could remember all the names of these, should have written them down when I bought them. But I can still enjoy them just the same.

Okay, another walk in the garden and I can't stand it, I have to run back in the house and get my camera. I just can't help it. They only last so long, and a picture preserves their beauty forever. Only, there's nothing like seeing them in person!

Wanted to share something today that are comments from Charles Swindoll on the impact attitude on our lives.

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me is more important that facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, then circumstances, than failures, then successes, than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.
We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes.

How true this is. I know by my attitude every morning what kind of day I'm going to have. Some days, I'll admit, I do need an attitude adjustment. But his comments are a great reminder to me that I have a choice how I will react and respond. So I will remind myself every morning to perform an "attitude check" before I leave the house!

Here's a new ATC rec'd today from Heather who lives in Michigan. It's beautiful, thanks Heather. She even hand sewed around the edges of the card. That takes patience!

Took a walk around the flower garden today and another one of my hybrid lilys has started to bloom. Wanted to share it with you. It's absolutely beautiful, especially in person! The bloom is so large also. Have a few others just starting I will share too. We finally are getting some rain, doesn't seem like much, though. We need it so bad. Well, off to scrap this evening at Leesa's house.

A few more ATC's just arrived in the mail. I wanted to share those with you also. Aren't they beautiful? The one with the seashell is all the way from the United Kingdom from Heather and the other two are from Phyllis in North Carolina. Just gorgeous! Not only do you get to share art from some very talented people with ATC's, but they can come to you from all areas of the world! That is fascinating in itself. Hope you enjoyed these....thanks for looking!

Here is my newest ATC I've received in the WTA....it's from JoAnne all the way from Medford, NY. How cool is it? I just love vintage....the the little boy image is adorable. She does wonderful work. Thanks, JoAnne!
Tomorrow evening I'm going to my friend Leesa's house to scrap all evening. I really want to get my vacation album done. I am in a new swap for a vintage chunky book. We do 22 pages in all and get back a chunky book when it's all said and done with 22 pages from various artists. It's my first try at this and I'm a little apprehensive but excited at the same time. The subject is Leonardo DaVinci. I've found out some intersting facts about him.....he's not just about the Mona Lisa. There's so much more to him. You would find him quite interesting. I'll post pics of the book when it's back to me. It's not due until Aug., so don't hold your breath!! :-)
Thanks for reading my blog, we'll talk again soon!

Well, I promised you more pictures of our trip Thursday to Kirkwood, Mo, and here they are. How about this "flower bed"? I've always thought of putting one of these in my yard...but never have. I think it is such a cute idea. This one was toddler bed size. I think I could handle that.
Here's my DH at the quaint little farmer's market in Kirkwood. I can put words to that look....."hey, you talkin' ta me".

Here I am at The Bug Store, another neat shop in Kirkwood, MO. We bought a new wrought iron address plaque with ceramic numbers for our house here. They had some really awsome trellis'.

Here are more ATC's I've received. There are alot of talented women in this group, and it shows when you see their creative work. I'm so glad to be a part of it. It has become addicting...but what a wonderul addiction.

Wanted to share some beautiful ATC's I've been receiving in the mail. I belong to a wonderful ATC group run by Teri, a great lady with an interest in vintage like me. I won the Winner Takes All for this month, which means that everyone who signed up, sends me an ATC. I've been doing the WTA for quite awhile, but this is the first time I've won. Hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I have enjoyed receiving them. They will all be wonderful additions to my collection.

Inkspot

Well, here are the pics I promised.....and what a wonderful day it was. The weather was beautiful and I really enjoyed the Inkspot. It's worth the trip and is filled with wonderful stamps and ideas. It's tucked inside the downtown area of Kirkwood amongst many other little shops and restaurants and also an outdoor farmer's market, which you'll see pics of tomorrow. So we had to make a day of it. But, of course, we still had to take a pitstop on the way back to Belleville at Soulard's Market....our favorite outdoor market! So now that I'm filled with fruit to last a few days and lots of creative ideas.....well, got to get to work! See ya!

Going to the Inkspot in Kirkwood tomorrow with DH. Isn't he a trooper? Of course, I had to bribe him with promising we'll also stop at antique shops. That won't be a hard thing for me to do either! This is a real cool place I've been told; lots of artsy stamps and such. The other neat thing is you can take all the pictures you want while you're there of all their ideas and they don't care...in fact they want you to. So expect some pictures tomorrow! Since I'm planning on getting into ATC's again, you never know what I might find to help with that endeavor. I've been slacking off on them, trying to get some scrapbooking done. Need more time!!! Never enough of it, it seems. But I know you all feel that same. See ya tomorrow!

NEW ARTFUL BLOG MAGAZINE

Here's a new book out by Stampington & Co. on artful blogging. I think this is really interesting...I know I could use some help on my blog. I can use all the artistic ideas I can get. If you want to check it out and pre-order this premier copy go to www.stampington.com. They have other wonderful things on their website also and great publications.
Today I worked all day cleaning and organizing my scrapbook room; want to paint next Monday. The color I choose for the walls is lime green; green being my fav color! I have plenty of ideas for decorating after painting. Will take some pics when I'm finished.
Oh, and if you want to see it in person, I just happen to be having a Stampin Up Party to help a friend get started in the business on July 15th. Send me a note to let me know you'd like to come and I'll get you out an invitation. The new catalog comes out then. So there'll be a load of wonderful new stamps and such. You can never have enough!!

Why I Flower Garden

Here is a picture of the cutest little "chairs" that my sister, Barbara and her boyfriend, Butch made my mom and I. He's been woodworking some and been getting very creative at it. He made them for no special reason....just made them for us. I think they are pretty special people, too!!
Here is a larger shot of my garden and some of the flowers I work so hard to plant. Every morning before I head to work, I always walk through the garden and reflect on the day and enjoy God's beauty.

This is why I flower garden. Look at these beautiful lillies. It makes it all worthwhile digging in that dirt planting those plants, doing that sometimes back-breaking work. Then these pop up in all their glorious beauty. Yes, I love it! I'll do it all again next year!

Free Downloadable Collage

Just found a website you can go to and download free collage between June 8 and June 17 in honor of father's day. Everyday is a new one. It's Lisa Vollrath, in case you're not familiar with her. She has wonderful websites to visit.

Having alot of family here to celebrate father's day this weekend, since I have to work father's day! But that'll be a scrappin' weekend for me, I have time at work to do that, since we're usually not busy on the weekends. Still working on my vacation album and so wanting to get started up again on some ATC's. I enjoy them so much....wanted to do some "inchies". Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
And hope you enjoyed the picture of my sister and her boyfriend, above. I'm looking forward to seeing them again this weekend.
