Here are some "nature" pics I took out our window onto the deck. I've been practicing using my 12 zoom on my new camera. We've been putting out bread and seeds on our deck so they come up and I can capture their beauty! I've been very happy with the zoom on it; very nice pics, don't you think?
Look how close I was able to get up on this squirrel. I'm really liking this zoom and can't wait until Florida.....it'll come in handy with the blue heron!

Our resident mocking bird. We call him Mikey. He loves to come up on the deck and eat what we've put out and drive our inside kitties just crazy.

Here is a little nuthatch. We have them all year round. They are very cute to watch.

Hi everybody.....I'm up in the middle of the night reading email because I can't sleep. Yuk! Anyway, got a wonderful email from an "art" friend from the UK, Sharon. I would like to invite you to check out her blog at www.ladycherie1.blogspot.com. You will not be disappointed. She has some beautiful things on there. She also took part in the Da Vinci chunky book. Enjoy, and thanks, Sharon. Beth

Just to add a little note to the post I just did below.....the very artistic people listed below and did pages for this book are from all over the country and a couple from the UK. How cool is that?
Here I am.......I've been MIA for quite sometime now. Thought it was time I got back to my blogging. I have something very exciting to share also. I've received my Chunky Book back from Teri this week on Leonardo Da Vinci. This was a project started last year and organized and put together by my wonderful "art" friend, Teri. She did a great job and put lots of work into this project. The results were amazing. Below lists all the people who collaborated together in this chunky book and I've shown quite a few pages out of it. Sorry some of them are a little blurry, I was in a hurry to get them taken. Didn't do my best! I plan to color the rings with alcohol inks and add fibers and ribbons to the rings. Once it get that done, I'll post another pic of the outside of the book. Seeing it in pictures does not do it justice; in real person it's just beautiful and a piece of art to treasure. Thanks for looking and I promise I won't be gone so long this time. Enjoy, Beth
