Christmas At Our House

Merry Christmas from our house to yours.......

My sister, Barbara, played Santa Clause...

Christmas.....the kitties "present" is there on the left. A new condo!!

My cute little "grunge" tree complete with victorian ornaments and some of my santas I collect in the background.

Here's my little kitty...Jack Frost.....Frosty.....little snow bunny kitty....Jackster! Whatever he goes by, he loved all the wonderful "trimmings" that came along with the season! LOL

Who's taller.....Grandpa or the "13 year old grandson"?

Grandpa and some of the grandchildren.....Ashley, Dawson, Ken, Allyson and Dalton.

The Christmas kitty......Jack Frost! Jack loved the tree...as soon as it was up he spent the better part of Christmas in it's branches! Sometimes at higher altitudes than you see here!!

Joy

Love

Dream

Believe

Peace on Earth

A child is born

Joy to the world

This house believes!

My mom's Christmas shirt.....

Can't get anymore peaceful than this.....

Merry Christmas to all....and to all a good night!

This was sent to me....wanted to share it with you.

As Lowe's the word
Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas;
it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are the words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, or Kerry, on Clinton!
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate "Winter Break"
under your "Dream Tree"
Sipping your Starbucks listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS,
not Happy Holiday!
Please all Christians join
together and wish everyone you meet
during the holidays a
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Christ is "The Reason" for the Christ-mas Season!!

I have been MIA for sometime now.....so many things to do and now I have sinusitis on top of it. There's a beautiful light covering of "white stuff" outside on the ground, the fire's going in the house making it quite cozy......so I'm feeling a little nostalgic. Nothing says nostalgic like a vintage snowman postcard. I'm thinking of collecting some for my sister who's really into snowmen. She can display them around the house throughout the holidays and on into the winter season.

Frosty the snowman, was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the snowman, is a fairy tale they say
He was made out of snow,
But the children know how he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in
that 'ol silk hat they found
For when they placed it on his head
he began to dance around.......

Looking for a great gift.....look no further than your local bookstore. When I was at Barnes & Noble the other day, I had to pick up this wonderful book written by Billy & Ruth Graham....."This Christmas Night"....Reflections from Our Hearts to Your Home. What a wonderful book.....and reminds us all of the true meaning of Christmas.
